About Chris & Rob Desino

The brothers from Rochester, New York showed drive and determination at an early age when they began their horse riding careers. They have a strong connection to the equestrian eventing community in the United States and abroad. Rob and Chris sponsor riders and events throughout the world.

While attending Hobart College, the twins were two-time National Collegiate Champions in competitive rowing. After college, they moved to Philadelphia to train and compete for the World Championship Teams. Unfortunately, Rob sustained a career ending injury prior to the 2000 Summer Olympics. This turn of events inspired the brothers to focus on another passion – restaurants.

Expertise, passion and dedication.

Creating a very successful chain of restaurants in Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rochester, NY, they honed their customer service skills. “Restaurants are the best training for having an extreme focus on keeping guests happy,” says Rob.

Eventually, they sold their restaurants and turned their skills and attention to the real estate business. Having wintered in Ocala with their horses previously, they decided to settle there, enjoying all that Ocala/Marion County has to offer. “We were hooked the first time we were in Ocala,” says Chris.

With Chris & Rob at the helm, their two companies, Ocala Horse Properties & Wellington Equestrian Realty represent the largest portfolio of exclusive horse farms in the world.

Chris & Rob take great pride in their attention to detail and that’s one of many reasons their clients entrust their home search to the brothers. We are very passionate about the real estate business. Many of our former clients are now our personal friends,” says Rob.

Founding Hudson Phillips was the next natural extension to growing their real estate brand. As the principals behind this brand, they have been able to hone & extend their key approaches to worldwide marketing to help Hudson Phillips reach the same level that they have achieved with their other two current companies “It’s what we love to do. Hudson Phillips is allowing us to transfer everything we know about real estate and create a niche brand here in Charleston. We have made several purchases in Charleston and it’s simply one of the best cities in the world. We are proud to be a part of Charleston and feel blessed & honored to be part of the community.”
